The Wedding of Gage and Hannah Leifried

Weddings

post filed in:

Once I began to do portrait photography for clients in Alabama, it allowed me to travel all over the state and meet some memorable people. It wasn’t long before I began to take shoot my first wedding. I’ve come a long way since then and I couldn’t be more grateful!

When I first met Hannah Davis and Gage Leifried for their engagement shoot, they were so full of life that I knew the afternoon was going to be a great time! We spent the next few hours taking pictures during the golden hour and they were stunning! I’ve had many engagement shoots before but few were so intimate and beautiful as Hannah and Gage’s.

We texted back and forth and the big day was scheduled for September 17, 2022! We couldn’t wait!

The First Look Before a Wedding

Hannah and Gage’s First Look

The morning of a wedding is one of my favorite things in life. There’s excitement in the air and a beautiful beginning is nigh. Being a part of special events and being able to provide memories for them are exactly why I became a wedding photographer!

The first look is such a precious time with the groom and bride. Standing behind the bride and she stands awaiting the first glance from her future husband sends an excitement that is hardly topped. There is so much anticipation and nervousness that makes the first look extremely worth it! When Gage turned around, he beamed so bright that I thought for a moment the sun was reflecting off of his face.

The Ceremony

These are some very fine-looking folks!

The ceremony went off without a hitch! It took place outside the majestic Dearing-Swaim House in Tuscaloosa, Alabama in the afternoon. The bridal party was giddy with excitement and could not contain themselves. One of my favorite moments from the ceremony was when the Pastor asked the Best Man for the rings and he pulled out a ring pop. Everybody had a good laugh and it’s something I’ve secretly always wanted to see!

The reception was such a party! Never have I been so tempted to jump in and start dancing with everybody. While snapping pictures, I found myself singing along and keeping in rhythm with whatever song played. At one point, “I Want It That Way’ began playing and every single person on the dance floor broke out into song.

After much partying and dancing, it was time for the celebration to come to a close. The wedding guests lined up the path and send off the happy couple!

The Perfect End to a Perfect Day!

Off they go into the sunset!

Talk about riding in style! Mr. and Mrs. Leifried left the reception to head to their honeymoon in Hawaii.

Congratulations to Gage and Hannah Leifried! May your family be blessed!
