the heart behind

THE NAME

For years we ran the rat race. Waking up, going to work, getting off, cooking dinner, going to bed, REPEAT... every single day. We were going through the motions of life, trying to accomplish everything that everyone else told us that we needed to as a young married couple with a baby.

After my daddy (Scot, aka "Scotty Too Hotty" as he liked to call himself) was diagnosed with Early Onset Alzheimer’s in 2016, I started to realize life is more than that. So much time was wasted working a 9-5 and not spending time with family. I was blessed to grow up with parents that didn't place the value of life on how much money we had or what their "job title" was, so we felt supported when we were completely burnt out and ready to throw in the towel to try something else. My parents always placed the most value in the time we spent together, and experiencing life together as a family... and man, I am so glad they did. 

It all started with him.

When my daddy was diagnosed and my whole world came crashing down, the only thing I wanted to do was look at pictures of us from over the years so I could re-live those moments and evoke the emotions from those happier seasons of life. I quickly came to realize that capturing moments with loved ones is the most important thing— because one day that’s all you’ll have. So here I am, living my dream and helping families and couples capture timeless moments that will one day be just memories. 
This is one of my favorite pictures of my daddy. I can feel the warmth of the sun and hear his laugh when I look at it.

What I would give to hear it in person again.
